One of the key match-ups in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 championship will feature the Arizona Wildcats against the Colorado Buffaloes at the T-Mobile Arena.

The #15 Arizona Wildcats are the #1 seed in the Pac-12 and will look to increase their chances of earning a top seed with a win today. Overall on the season, their record stands at 24-7 and 14-4 in conference play. They were able to close out the regular season with six wins in seven games, and will be looking to keep their winning streak alive today. In their latest win against the California Golden Bears, Deandre Ayton scored 26 with an impressive 20 rebounds and Rawle Alkins chipped in 15 of his own. Overall on the season, four players on the Wildcats averaged over ten points per game, with Deandre Ayton scoring just under 20 points per game. Ayton clearly is the leader of team, as he is the only player to average a double-double per game with 11.4 rebounds per game as well. Allonzo Trier is not far behind Ayton with 18.9 points per game on average. Although the offensive somewhat revolves around Ayton, the entire team is solid as well. The Wildcats as a team shot 51% from the field this season and 38.4% from three point land.

The Colorado Buffaloes earned the right to play Arizona after beating the Arizona State Sun Devils in the first round by a score of 97-85. In that game, six different players scored over ten points for the Buffaloes. However, McKinley Wright IV was the only player to score at least twenty points for the team. Tyler Bey had a double-double in the contest, scoring 14 points and hauling in ten rebounds. Although their record on the season is above .500, they are below .500 in conference play. Colorado’s regular season ended on a sour note, losing their last four out of five, but they were able to win against Arizona State in the first round. The team will be looking to not only McKinley Wright, but also George King and Namon Wright. They are the only three players on the Buffaloes to average at least ten points per game on the season.

The only time these two teams faced each other this season was in January, with each team winning one at home and losing one on the road. Since Colorado lost to Arizona on the road by less than ten points, I believe they have the ability to cover the spread on a neutral court. Their neutral court record this year is 4-1, but they haven’t played a team as good as Arizona on a neutral court before.
