John Calipari and company are rolling into Baton Rouge for a SEC Super Tuesday showdown with a declining LSU squad.

LSU Tigers

The Tigers have dropped the last three of the last four games in SEC play. Granted the three they lost were on the road. Last time out, they came back late from double digits against Alabama, but ultimately lost 88-82. Senior guard Skylar Mays led the pack with 24 points on eight of thirteen shooting.

As a squad LSU are the 10th best squad on offense is the country averaging 80.76 points a game on 47.68% from the field. Skylar Mays is the heart and soul of team leading them in scoring and spirit. He is averaging a 16.5 points a game along with 3.3 assists. Forward Trendon Watford is the second leading scorer pouring in 13.9 points a per contest in a little over 31.4 mintues.

Will Wade relies on good guard defense for his troop to be successful. LSU isn't one of the greatest crews on defense ranking 274th giving up 72.72 points a meeting. It doesn't get much better at home improving only to 208th in the country giving up 67.40 points a game.

Kentucky Wildcats

The Cats are coming off a close meeting against the Ole Miss Rebels that they came out on top of 87-82. Immanuel Quickley was the leading scorer for Kentucky. He didn't have his most stellar game dropping 17 points on fifteen shots. Nick Richards, on the other hand, had a great game dropping in 16 points on 10 shot attempts. Richards has emerged as Cal's go-to guy late in games and is speculated to be a lottery pick in the draft.

Kentucky is a top 80 team in the country ranking 79th amongst college basketball. The Wildcats are averaging 75.08 points a game and have one of the best road offense's in the nation putting up 74 points a contest. Quickley, for now, leads the team in scoring with 15.0 PPG, but Nick Richards is not far behind with 14.6 PPG.

On defense, Kentucky ranks 74th which is good for the 4th best in the SEC. The Cats are giving up an average of 65.48 points, holding opponents to shooting 38.47% from the floor. Nick Richards ranks 28th for blocks in college basketball with 2.2 a game.
