Michigan St.

The Michigan St. Spartans enter Thursday’s game with a 10-game winning streak. They are 6-0 in conference play and are ranked as the sixth best basketball team in the nation, according to the Associated Press.

Michigan St. started their two-game road trip Sunday in Pennsylvania as they defeated Penn State (71-56) for their tenth consecutive win. Junior forward, Nick Ward, recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Penn State. He is second on the team with points per game (16.6). Ward is ranked at No. 10 in scoring in the entire country. Senior guard, Matt McQuaid, helped his team with 15 points scored, 12 of them in the second half alone while junior guard, Cassius Winston, added 11 points with six assists. McQuaid leads the Big Ten in 3-point field goal percentage (47.4) while his teammate, Winston sits at seventh in scoring among all Big Ten conference players and leads the team in points per game (17.6) and assists per game (7.4). He is ranked at number four in the country with assists per game. Redshirt senior, Kenny Goins, gained ten rebounds with seven points scored.

Michigan St., as a team, is top ten in the country in field goal percentage (50.5%) and field goal percentage defense (36.9%).

Nebraska

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are 9-0 at home this season, 2-0 at home in conference play. After winning two straight (one at home and one on the road), Nebraska hopes to continue their home dominance against the Spartans on Thursday.

The Cornhuskers’ last game was on the road at Bloomington, Indiana where they came out victorious against the No. 25 ranked team in the nation (66-51). Their road win was the first of the season. Nebraska snapped Indiana’s 10-game winning streak and delivered them their first home loss of the year. Senior guard, Glynn Watson Jr., scored 15 points while his teammate, Isaac Copeland Jr., scored 14 points. Copeland Jr. landed in double digits for the 14th time this year. He is second in the team with 14.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds behind senior guard, James Palmer Jr.

Nebraska ranks fourth in the conference with 78.5 points per game. They also do well on defense as they are ranked No. 13 in scoring defense in the nation, allowing 60.8 points per game. The Cornhuskers have one of the best players in the Big Ten. Palmer Jr. is third in scoring in the conference and has eight games with 20+ points this year.

Free NCAA BB Prediction Nebraska vs Michigan St.

Although Michigan St. are probably the favorite to win, Nebraska is no stranger to handling tough challenges. Nebraska did snap Indiana’s 10-game winning streak just as Michigan St.’s streak now. It also helps to know that they are undefeated at home this year. Nebraska is the underdog, but they were victorious the last time and seem to be heating up for another win. My money is on Nebraska.

Pick: Nebraska +1
