Free NCAA Basketball Pick Nevada Wolf Pack vs. San Jose State Spartans

The Nevada Wolf Pack will be looking to recover from their first loss of the season as they take on the San Jose State Spartans. The Spartans will also be hungry for a win as they are currently on a four-game losing streak.

Nevada Wolf Pack #10

The Nevada Wolf Pack has had a very solid season thus far (14-1) establishing themselves in the top ten early in the season. Nevada had suffered their first loss of the season to New Mexico (58-85) in an overall lackluster performance favoring a fellow conference team. After their loss to New Mexico, Nevada now sits behind Boise State in the Mountain West standings sitting at #5, yet still maintaining the best overall record in the conference. Nevada has had a relatively mild schedule so far this season, playing only one team ranked in the top 25 (Arizona State #20). Nonetheless, the team has put up some exceptional numbers averaging 80.4 PPG, 67.4 PA, 38.1 RPG, 15.3 APG, and a 45.4 FG%. Senior forward Jordan Caroline leads the team in both points and rebounds so far this season averaging 18.3 PPG and 9.8 RPG. The Wolf Pack will be going for their 15th win in 16 games.

San Jose State Spartans

The Spartans have struggled this season on both ends of the court but especially on the offensive side. Spartans have averaged 68.3 PPG, shooting 41.4% from the field and 33% from 3-point range. The team is currently on a 4-game losing streak with losses to Fresno State, Saint Mary’s, Cal, and Stanford. They are also 0-1 in conference play after their loss to Fresno State.  Junior Forward Michael Steadman will be leading the Spartan in attempts to break the losing streak. Steedman leads the team in both points and rebounds this season averaging 13.8 PPG with 9.3 RPG. Look for the Spartans to play hungry and try to break the losing streak in a big Mountain West conference game.San

Free NCAA Basketball Prediction San Jose State Spartans vs. Nevada Wolf Pack

While San Jose State may be eager to win a game especially in conference play, the Nevada team has just been playing to good for the 3-10 team to handle. Expect Senior Jordan Caroline to have a big game on both ends of the court. With the Spartans inability to execute effectively on offense, I believe that this will be a dominating win for Nevada bringing them to 15-1 and 2-1 in conference play.

Pick: Nevada -29
