College Basketball Pick USC Trojans vs Utah Utes
The Utah Utes men’s basketball team travels to the Galen center in Southern California for a Pac-12 match-up on Wednesday night versus the USC Trojans.
Utah is now 11-10 sitting in 5th place with a 5-4 record in the Pac-12 Conference. The Utes are on a two game losing streak after winning four in a row, however, they are still only four games behind the 18-4 Washington Huskies, who are 9-0 in the Conference. Utah most recently lost to the Oregon Ducks by six points, followed by a nine point loss to the Oregon State Beavers. Timmy Allen scored a career-high 24 points and Sedrick Barefield added 19 points for the Utes against Oregon State. Allen only averages 11.4 points per game, so this was a real breakout performance for him. Barefield leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game and he also leads the team in assists with 3.8 per game. Against the Oregon Ducks, the Utes seemed to struggle when the defense attacked Barefield with the press, and he ended up shooting just 4 of 16 from the field with a total of 16 points.
The USC Trojans are 13-9 overall and 6-3 in the Pac-12, and only three games out of first place. They’ve won four out of their last five games after losing to both Oregon and Oregon State as well. In their most recent game Nick Rakocevic was able to record his 11th double-double of the season by scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to help the Trojans win by nine points at Washington State. Jonah Matthews shot 6-7 from three-point range and scored 20 points for USC and Bennie Boatwright, who leads the team in scoring at 17.3 points per game, added 18 points in the victory. The Trojans shot 55% from three point range on 10-18 shooting, however, they had 14 turnovers, which still seemed to frustrate USC coach Andy Enfield. USC lost the previous game to the first place Washington Huskies by a score of 75-62. Benny Boatwright led the Trojans with 22 points and Nick Rakocevic added 16 points and 10 rebounds, but they never had a third scoring option in a game they trailed throughout.
Utah lost two games in-a-row at home.

USC Trojans vs Utah Utes Free College Basketball Prediction
USC is on a good streak as of late only losing to the best team in the conference and I’ll take 55% from three-point land any day! If they can shoot anything close to that and minimize the turnovers, they should be able to come out on top against a mediocre Utah team, so far. The Trojans are playing at home, where they hold a 12-4 record and the Utes are only 3-3 on the road so I would think USC should be able to cover the spread, barely.
My Pick: USC (-5)
