Wake Forest Betting News
The Demon Deacons haven’t had easy wins early in the season thus far. With an overtime thriller to open the seaosn, they had to work hard to beat Tulane. They had an easier time with Towson last week, winning 51-20. Wake Forest is pretty balanced on offense with Freshman Sam Hartman as a dual-threat option and Cade Carney also running the ball. Hartman has gone 48-of-78 for 620 yards and four touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also picked up 128 yards and a touchdown on 22 rushing attempts. Carney leads the rushing attack though with 184 yards and two scores on 35 carries. Hartman’s favorite targets have been Greg Dortch, Sage Surratt, and Alex Bachman. Dortch leads the team with 19 catches for 243 yards. Surratt is close behind with 213 yards on 15 receptions. Bachman leads the team with three touchdown catches on nine receptions for 116 yards. Dortch has also proven to be a threat on special teams with two punts returned for touchdowns against Towson.

Even though they are on the road, the Eagles have a running game that can be extremely difficult to stop. But Wake Forest has also done a pretty good job of stopping the run, even if they weren’t Power 5 opponents. Boston College will have success running the ball and setting up their passing game for when they need it. But with the weather possibly being an issue, a rushing attack is much more reliable than a passing attack. Brown has done a good job for Boston College of not turning the ball over with interceptions. If he can continue doing that while Dillon cuts up the defense on the ground, this might not only be an offense that wins this game, but wins a lot of games moving forward.
