The Oklahoma Sooners get their first road test against UCLA who is searching for their first win of the year. The Sooners won last season’s matchup 49-21 and the Bruins allowed 485 yards to Oklahoma’s offense. The Bruins are coming off of a season where they went 1-4 at the Rose Bowl last season. UCLA went 3-9 in 2018 and Oklahoma went 12-2 last year and fell in the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma could be without offensive lineman Marquis Hayes for the second consecutive game to an undisclosed reason. UCLA could also be without wide receiver Theo Ward who is still dealing with a wrist injury.
Oklahoma looks to continue road winning streak
Oklahoma is 20-0 SU in their last 20 games on the road and hasn’t lost a true road game since October 2014. Jalen Hurts is Oklahoma’s leader in passing and rushing and has nine touchdowns total this season. Hurts is completing 82.9% of his passes for 593 yards and is averaging 14.4 yards per pass. Hurts has added 223 yards rushing and is averaging 9.3 yards per rush. The Sooners leads the country with 1,519 total yards and is averaging 710 yards a game and is third in scoring with 59.5 points a game.
