Harbour Town GL – Hilton Head, SC
April 12-15, 2018
The Masters are over, and golf fans around the world are sad. But, don’t be! The RBC Heritage is a fantastic golf tournament that always provides terrific finishes on Sunday.
Welcome to the Luke Donald Open. Honestly, that is what they should change the name of the tournament to. I think RBC Heritage is safe, but Donald has been outstanding here in the past. He has five-second place finishes and three in the past four years. Is this the year Donald finally gets over the hump?
Defending Champ, Wesley Bryan is in the field this week coming off a missed cut at the Masters. There is no correlation to Augusta, and Harbour Town other than the past couple of winners have either missed the cut at Augusta the week before or just not played in the Masters. Good news for Bryan.
World No.1 Dustin Johnson is playing this week. Why is Johnson playing? Well, he has to, he is a member of the RBC and has to play in a tournament every four years so just get it over with. Will DJ mail it in for two days or will he try to lap the field because there is no question he is by far the best golfer in the field?
Paul Casey is teeing it up after he outstanding showing on Sunday of the Masters. Virtually out of the tournament Casey went on a run to shoot a 65 on Sunday. He challenged the course record all day, but the bogeys on 17 and 18 pushed him off the pace.
Brain Harman is in great form with 11 top 10s last season and has past success at the RBC Heritage with two top 10s in 2014 and 2017.
