Zurich Classic of New Orleans
TPC Louisiana – New Orleans, Louisiana
April 26-29, 2018
This is the second annual format for the Zurich Classic. The 2017 edition was the first edition of the two-man event. There are two rounds of foursome and four-ball play. There are eighty teams, but the cut will be made after 36 holes with the top 35 teams.
Jonas Blixt and Cameron Smith are back to defend their title. Last season the Blixt/Smith team beat the Kisner/Brown team in a playoff on Monday.
Justin Thomas and Bud Cauley are in the field, and this is a team type of atmosphere, so Thomas has to be one of the favorites. As well as the Patrick Reed and Patrick Cantlay team. Patrick Reed is one of America’s sweethearts when it comes to the Ryder Cup. He was the leader of the American team and should be the leader for the Reed/Cantlay team.
Call me crazy, but the Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly team is one to watch. If it was not for a Saturday round of 72, they would have been in the hunt for the win. They shot a 68-66 on Thursday and Friday with a 72-65 on Saturday and Sunday.

PARS OF THE COURSE
There is no doubt in my mind that Justin Thomas is going to come to play. He is a young guy and rested from the Masters. He will be looking to be in the hunt on Sunday.
