New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox.
MLB Regular Season, Sunday at Fenway Park Boston, Massachusetts at 8:05 PM (EDT)
The Line: Boston Red Sox -+115 / New York Yankees -135 O/U: 11
The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox will continue their storied rivalry when they play the third game of their four-game tilt at Fenway Park on Sunday. Boston remains 8.5-games back of the Yankees in the AL East race, and they have been all but eliminated from postseason contention, sitting seven games back of the final postseason spot in the American League. Can Boston salvage some pride by stealing a victory at home versus New York on Sunday Night Baseball?
Will The Yankees, as the Trends point, take the game again?
New York got some good and bad news this weekend. We’ll start with the good news, as slugger Giancarlo Stanton inched closer to returning by taking five at-bats in a simulated game on Friday. With under 20 games remaining on the Yankees’ regular season schedule, New York is starting to get healthy just in time for October. Right-handed ace Luis Severino is also expected to join the big league club for the first time next season following his next minor league start. While the Yankees are suddenly getting healthy at the right time, one of their stars, center fielder Aaron Hicks, will not be rejoining the team after suffering a setback during his recovery from a flexor strain in his right elbow.
