This game is set to be the turning point of this series. Whoever goes home with a victory, likely wins the series. Of course plenty of teams come back from down 2-1, but the odds will not be in their favor. Game one was something special, a St. Louis comeback fueled by line drives just barely staying fair, with Atlanta clawing right back in the bottom of the 9th, but ultimately falling short. Game two was much less exciting, a decisive 3-0 win for the Braves. Mike Foltynewicz might've put together his best performance of the entire season, giving up just 3 hits through 7 innings while striking out 7. He's given up zero runs in a start just two other times this year. Jack Flaherty pitched extremely hard, going 7 innings as well, and topped out at 117 pitches. He gave up 8 hits for 3 runs.

On the mound for Atlanta this afternoon, Mike Soroka. The 22 year old has been fantastic for the Braves this season, with him sitting on a 13-4 record and a 2.68 ERA. His FIP is significantly higher at 3.45, but he does lead the league in HR/9, at 0.7. Against the Cardinals, he's been even better. He has a 2.84 FIP to show for it, and has only allowed them to hit for .190.
