Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels

Boston Red Sox (73-63) vs. Los Angeles Angels (65-72)

September 1st at 4:07 ET (Angel Stadium)

ML: Boston Red Sox (-105) Los Angeles Angels (-105)

RL: Boston Red Sox (-1.5) Los Angeles Angels (+1.5) O/U: 9

Behind an epic 7-run 8th inning, the Angels dismantled the Red Sox bullpen. They evened up the series at one a piece with the rubber match later today. The Angels offense was calm before it erupted. Five players on the Angles had two hits. Mike Trout made history as well as he is the youngest player to achieve the 200 homer, 200 stolen-base club. For the Red Sox, the bullpen once again blew it. The Red Sox send David Price to the mound, while the Angels combat with Andrew Heaney.

Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox used an opener in yesterday's game. Josh Taylor did enough. He escaped an early bases-loaded jam. After him though, the pitching was atrocious. All but one reliever gave up at least one run. Ryan Brasier took the loss and was charged with a blown save. It was an awful night for the bullpen. The Red Sox need to be able to hold down leads. This win could cost them big in the tight Wild Card race.
