Cleveland Indians Betting News

The Cleveland Indians are coming off a 5-1 loss against the White Sox last night, but won the first game of the series 4-0 on Monday night. In order to get the 2-1 advantage, the Indians will need starting pitcher Trevor Bauer (RHP) to perform consistently.  In his last game against the Detroit Tigers, Bauer allowed only one run off of seven hits and struck out an impressive 12 players. His recent strikeout numbers have been impressive, including striking out 11 against the Minnesota Twins and striking out 13 against the Houston Astros. Bauer gives the Indians a huge advantage when it comes to innings pitched as well, as he has been averaging between six to seven innings per game.  As a result, this leads to less pressure from the Indians bullpen.  Another factor to consider is the Indians offense, which will also have to rebound after a disappointing 5-1 loss.

Chicago White Sox Betting News

The Chicago White Sox are currently having a good streak of games so far, winning six of their last ten games. Even though they are eight games behind the Detroit Tigers, the White Sox are gradually showing what their rebuilding team will look like in the near future. This includes starting pitcher Dylan Covey (RHP), who is having a great season when compared to his starts in the 2017 season.  Covey’s last start was excellent- he allowed zero runs off of three hits against the Boston Red Sox, one of the best offensive teams in the MLB.  This shows how much potential Covey has as a starting MLB pitcher.  Covey will have another test to face against the Cleveland Indians, who are also a high-powered offensive team.  The White Sox offense is also showing bright potential, especially Jose Abreu, who is currently averaging .286 with 10 home runs this season.

This game will showcase two emerging pitchers in Trevor Bauer and Dylan Covey.  Both pitchers have been performing outstandingly this season, especially Covey.  However, after a 5-1 loss yesterday, the Cleveland Indians will likely rebound and perform more consistent offensively.  This will lead to a tough outing for Covey and the Chicago White Sox bullpen.  The Cleveland Indians will likely take this game, however, this game is going to be a strong pitching battle between Bauer and Covey.  But when it comes to offensive performance, the Indians will take this one and make the series 2-1.
