The Cleveland Indians dominated the first game in the series, 19-5. This marks the third time they scored in the double digits in the second half and 19 is the most runs they've scored in a game this season. The Yankees wish to forget that loss; the MLB leading club doesn't lose by this wide of a margin this season. The Indians look to continue to make a statement in this series, especially being so close to October. Today the Indian will use their rookie RHP Aaron Civale (1-1. 1.00 ERA) against the veteran and fellow righty Masahiro Tanaka (8-6, 4.64 ERA).

Jose Ramirez played like a man possessed yesterday. He led his club with 6 RBI against the Yankees, going 2-3 with 2 walks and 2 runs as well. The Indians accumulated 24 hits, hitting nearly .500 as a team, walking 4 times and going 8-13 in RISP. Yankees, however, only got on base 10 times vs the Indians 26 times. And since Chad Green was an opener, the bullpen really gave up all 19 runs.

Aaron Civale is off to a strong start to his MLB career. In all three of his starts he went 6 IP and only gave up a single run in his last two. He holds a .72 WHIP and averages 6 strikeouts per game. He may not be a hard thrower (16th percentile fastball velocity) but he has some wicked movement with his curveball and changeup. Look for Civale to continue his striking out ways, but he may finally get a true welcome to the MLB and get walloped by the strong Yankees offense.
