After dominating the first game, the Cleveland Indians struggled to sustain that momentum and makes something out of this series. The New York Yankees made a quick recovery from the embarrassing loss and look sharp as ever, looking to win this series instead of allowing it to go even. The Indians will start RHP Mike Clevinger (7-2, 3.34 ERA) against the veteran lefty CC Sabathia (5-6, 4.78 ERA).

The Indians tried to rally yesterday in the 8th, but came up short, getting shutout by in the 9th by Chapman who earned his 35th save. The Yankees won, 6-5. James Paxton dueled against Zach Plesac, both giving underwhelming performances. It was truly an offensive effort (and some managerial support). Like the last game the Indians top half of the lineup played well, with Carlos Santana continuing a stellar outing this series with 3 hits and 3 RBI. The Yankees lineup was hitting all over the place, and looks like the edge in this one. Gleyber Torres smashed two solo shots too.

Mike Clevinger is having a solid year. But he is having in even more astounding last 7 starts, earning 5 wins with no losses with a 2.72 ERA and 55 SO in 43 IP. But Clevinger has always been sneaking good in the last two seasons he had double digit wins, single digit losses and below a 3.20 ERA. Clevinger looks like the next big deal in the MLB and a certifiable next ace for the Indians. He did, however, give up 4 runs in a no-decision last week against the Red Sox.
