Recap
It was a back and forth affair between the two teams on Tuesday night. The final score was 8-7 in the Diamondbacks favor. Clutch hits from Jake Lamb and Eduardo Escobar pushed the D-Backs past the Rockies. The Rockies almost came back after being down 8-3. Their rally fell just short. The D-Backs have won the series, and are looking to complete the sweep tonight.
Colorado Rockies
The Rockies offense performed well last night. Trevor Story went 4-4, Nolan Arenado homered, the offense had 13 hits, which was more than the D-Backs. However, the pitching once again dug too deep a hole. Starter Kyle Freeland allowed 5 R (3 ER). The first reliever out of the bullpen was Bryan Shaw who surrendered three runs. The pitching staff for the Rockies has just been abysmal.
