FanDuel MLB Picks Colorado Rockies vs San Francisco Giants
Happy Saturday everybody. Hopefully all of you have had a great week and get to unwind this weekend. It is a good weekend for sports with plenty going on. Time for you to make some money with some smart bets. What better way to start then with the game we have out in the Bay Area this afternoon.
The Colorado Rockies are off to an absolutely putrid start to the beginning of the year. Their offense has continued to struggle as they have lost 7 games in a row. The player that continues to disappoint the most out of this lineup is their star. Nolan Arenado signed a mega deal this offseason yet has stumbled so far in 2019. Over the first 14 games Arenado has been a below replacement level player. He has accumulated a negative WAR in that span with an OPS of only .651. Arenado’s struggles have made the Rockies lineup thin and easy to navigate.
Kyle Freeland is on the mound for Colorado this afternoon. Freeland has come into this year fresh off a breakout season in 2018. To begin the year he had a pair of quality starts. In his last start however he got lit up allowing 7 earned runs over only 5 innings. Freeland is a very good pitcher however with the current offensive woes he may be outmatched.
San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants are on a bit of a hot streak winning 3 of their last 4. They look to sweep the Rockies today in the final game of their 3 game series. The Giants player to keep an eye on is Brandon Belt. Belt has an OPS of .822 over 15 games this year. The first basemen is the key to what can be a sluggish Giants offense. If Belt is able to put a ball or two into the bay Oracle Park will be rocking.
Madison Bumgarner is on the hill for the Giants and boy is that a good feeling. Having an ace line up for the final game of a potential sweep is the dream scenario. Bumgarner has had a solid start to the year compiling an ERA of 3.32 over 19 innings. Expect him to slam the door shut on this slumping Rockies team.
