The Astros won their fifth straight game against the Tigers in Tuesday's 6-3 win. Three Houston home runs proved to be the difference maker in the game. Jose Altuve, George Springer, and Martin Maldonado all hit solo home runs. Alex Bregman went 0-4 with two strikeouts while Yordan Alvarez was walked four times. Houston left 10 runners on base and went 2-11 with runners in scoring position.

Starter Aaron Sanchez was pulled from the game after allowing four hits, three runs, and two walks in just 2 1/3 innings. He was not injured during the start, but Sanchez will be placed on the IL due to a nagging sore pectoral muscle. Brad Peacock was the winning pitcher with just 1 2/3 innings of work. Closer Roberto Osuna picked up his 29th save on the season.

The Tigers posted 10 hits but left nine runners on base. Victor Reyes hit a leadoff home run in one of Detroit's three runs. Tuesday's offensive performance was all too familiar for the struggling Tigers. Detroit's .237 batting average is tied for worst in Major League Baseball.

Spencer Turnbull made the start for the Tigers. He only pitched three innings and allowed five runs, six hits, and three walks. Detroit pitchers allowed seven walks in the game.
