The White Sox and Tigers will face off for the fourth and final time this week on Wednesday afternoon in Detroit. The teams faced twice on Tuesday as part of a double header and each won one of the two games. Game 1 of the double header ended in a 5-3 Chicago White Sox victory while game 2 was a 10-6 Tigers win. With both teams below .500 and relatively low in the standings, this game will not impact the playoff picture. On the other hand, will the White Sox be able to continue their hot streak and domination of the Tigers?
Chicago White Sox betting trends show strong play on the road
In their last 9 road games, the White Sox are 6-3. Overall, however, Chicago is 23-34 away from home, so this recent success is a positive sign for fans. In other good news, 3rd baseman Yoan Moncada has been taken off the injury report according to ESPN.com. Moncada leads the team in batting average and was on the 10-day DL with groin issues. Unfortunately, SP Carson Fulmer, RP Kelvin Herrera, and SP Manny Banuelos are all on the injury report. For the players that are available, the White Sox lineup has been off to a great start in the month of August. Home run and RBI leader, Jose Abreu, is batting .323 with 2 HRs and 7 RBIs in 31 at bats so far. White Sox faithful will hope his success continues this afternoon against the Tigers.
