After a surprise win over the Phillies on Sunday, the White Sox will travel to Detroit to take on the Tigers on Monday. The Tigers enter Monday night's matchup after losing the third straight game to the Texas Rangers 9-4. Both teams are fairly below .500, but the Tigers have definitely had a season they would like to forget. The Tigers come into Monday nights game at 32-75 with a 13-36 record at home while the 48-61 White Sox are 21-33 away from home. At the end of the day, both teams may not have much playoff hopes but will the Tigers be able to please their home fans against another sub-par opponent?
Detroit Tigers Betting Trends show that the Tigers are struggling at home
Unfortunately for Tigers fans, Detroit is 1-8 in their last 9 games at home. There has not been much good news for the Tigers all season and three players on the injury report is just the icing on top. 2B Josh Harrison who has played in 36 games this year is on the 60 day IL, SS Jordy Mercer who has played in 39 games is day-to-day and SP Spencer Turnbull is on the 10-day IL. The Tigers offense is lead by Miguel Cabrera's 43 RBIs and Brandon Dixon's 14 HRs. Compared to top hitters in the league, these numbers are well below average. As a team, the Tigers have hit less than 100 HRs combined. Every game the Tigers question if they will receive enough run support to give their pitchers a chance.
