Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins

Miami Marlins (44-72) vs Atlanta Braves (69-50)

Sunday August 11th at 1:10 PM EST (Marlins Park)

ML: Braves -225 Marlins +185

Odds: Braves -1.5 , Total: O/U 9

On Sunday Afternoon, the Atlanta Braves will play the Miami Marlins for the fourth and final game of this week's series. Surprisingly, the Marlins who have one of the worst records in baseball have won two out of the first three games. Most recently, the Marlins defeated the braves 7-6 last night after trailing by four runs in the 9th inning. On the other hand, the odds are not on the Marlins side for today's game because the Braves are 37-25 on the road while the Marlins are 24-36 at home. Will the Braves be able to get back on track and defeat the lesser Marlins or have the Marlins figured out how to win against the Braves?

Miami betting trends show that before this series they were in a big slump

The Miami Marlins are 2-7 in their last nine games and their only two wins have come against the Braves in this series. Maybe the Marlins can continue their success today because they are .500 as the underdog at 54-54. Sadly for the Marlins, their leader in batting average, Miguel Rojas is on the 10-day IL and will likely not play today. Rojas has only bat .289 this season which on many other teams would not be close to the leader. The fact that the Marlins do not have a hitter hitting over .300 is something they will need to work on this offseason. As a team, the Marlins are batting .240 and have only hit 99 home runs. Miami's lineup is lead by 3B Brian Anderson who has 60 RBIs and 20 HRs this year. Also of note, pitchers Tayron Guerrero, Drew Steckenrider, and Pablo Lopez are on the injury report.
