Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins

Miami Marlins (44-73) vs Los Angeles Dodgers (79-41)

Tuesday August 13th at 7:10 PM EST (Marlins Park)

ML: Dodgers -190 Marlins +180

Odds: Dodgers -1.5 , Total: O/U 8.5

On Tuesday night, the Dodgers will travel to face the Marlins for the first game in a three game series. The Marlins and Dodgers have only played three other times this season and the Dodgers came out on top all three times. Such a result, is not surprising due to the fact that the Dodgers have one of the best records in the MLB and the Marlins possess one of the worst. More of the same may be in store for the Marlins who are 24-37 at home while the Dodgers are 31-25 on the road. Will the Dodgers continue their dominance tonight or will the Marlins be able to sneak away with a win?

Miami betting trends show that they struggle against National League opponents

Unfortunately, the Miami Marlins are in dead last in the entire National League and they are 2-6 in their last eight games against National League opponents. The Marlins are an underdog in almost every game they play so being 54-54 against the run line is not actually as impressive at it may seem. On the other hand, Marlin's fans will be happy to hear that none of their offensive players on the IL. The casual fan may think this means that the Marlins should perform better offensively today; however, even the Marlins hitting leaders have not had noteworthy seasons. Batting average leader, Miguel Rojas, has only bat .289 this season which on many other teams would not be close to the leader. The fact that the Marlins do not have a hitter hitting over .300 is something they will need to work on this offseason. Also of note, pitchers Tayron Guerrero, Drew Steckenrider, and Pablo Lopez are on the injury report.
