After a game with a feisty finish last night, now we'll be taking a look at game two of this series. In a low scoring affair, the D-Backs managed to mount a comeback to beat the Dodgers in extra innings. Carson Kelly was Arizona's hero, hitting both the game tying home run, and the go ahead home run, in back to back at bats. After Archie Bradley secured a save, things got heated between him and longtime D-Back's teammate, now Dodger, A.J. Pollock. No punches were thrown, but Dave Roberts and his crew will certainly come into this game with a different mentality.

Diamondbacks

One of two young studs in Arizona's rotation, Alex Young, will take the mound for them tonight. He's gotten off to a 4-1 record, and has posted a 2.60 ERA. There's no doubt that he has been incredibly impressive thus far in his rookie season, but tonight might play out a bit different. Despite his numbers in the majors this year, his statistics in the minors tell a completely different story. In fact, his Triple A numbers are just absolutely abysmal. In 2018, he put up a 5.17 ERA while on the Reno squad, and this year it wasn't going any better, as he had a 6.09 ERA before being called up. He was giving up 11 hits per 9 innings. When you look at some statistics he's wracked up with the D-Backs this season, they paint a similar picture to his minor league performances. Despite his very low ERA, his FIP is up at 4.08, a +1.48 differential, which is pretty massive. That's not a good thing. Along with this, looking over his pitch bank, he's mainly a fastball guy, throwing them 38% of the time this year. However, his fastball velocity is within the 3rd percentile for the entire league. That means 97% of guys who throw a fastball, throw it harder than him. His tops out at 89 MPH.
