The Tampa Bay Rays are set to visit Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas for game 5 of the ALDS against the Houston Astros. The Tampa Bay Rays come into this matchup with a 2-2 record in this series, and they will be looking to continue their success after winning game 4 against the Houston Astros, 4-1.

The Tampa Bay Rays have the lowest payroll in the league and yet here they are with a chance of moving on to the ALCS. The Rays lost both games in Houston, but vcame back to win both games at home and they outscored the Astros 14-4 in the process. Tampa just keeps fighting. In their wildcard game, they won on the road in Oakland and will look for another road win in this one, which would then put them in the ALCS against the Yankees. Giving the Rays hope is the fact that both road teams won deciding game fives last night. Can the Rays pull a miracle in this one? In their last game, the Rays won by a score of 4-1 and snatching up the win in the contest was Ryan Yarbrough, who came in for opener Diego Castillo. Yarbrough pitched two innings and allowed just two hits in the process to pick up the win. The Rays had a 3-0 lead after the first innings and they never looed back. Tommy Pham had three hits and an RBI while Avisail Garcia had four hits and a run scored. Pham and Willy Adames each went deep in the game. Tampa Bay is now at 49-35 on the road for the year and they have averaged 4.89 rpg and have allowed 4.27 rpg in those games.
