FanDuel MLB Picks Kansas City Royals vs Tampa Bay Rays
Happy Tuesday everybody. Hope that your week is going well. The weather is beautiful outside today and baseball season finally feels real. There is a good slate of games tonight with one especially to eye. Tampa has been a fun team to watch this year. Playing at home they look to continue to stay hot early in this young season.
Kansas City Royals
The Royals are one of several AL teams that is far from contention this year. Their 7-16 record reflects that pretty clearly. They are in AL’s bottom half in most offensive statistics including runs and OPS. In a lineup of lackluster performances one name to eye is Hunter Dozier.
Hunter Dozier is off to a hot start so far this season. In 21 games he has hit 7 bombs while having an OPS of 1.106. These numbers certainly are not sustainable but they are noteworthy. This guy is as hot as anyone in the league and you have to account for him in the lineup.
Homer Bailey is toeing the rubber for the Royals tonight. Sporting a 4.3 ERA so far this season he has been far from dominant. Somehow that is lower than his career ERA of 4.5. Bailey is known for his terrible contract around the league. Since his solid 2012-2014 run, Bailey has not had an ERA under 5.5 for a full season. Bailey is not someone you should feel comfortable with on any given night.
Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays have gotten off to a hot start this season. Top 5 in runs in the AL so far this season they are tough to handle. Their offense has been led by a special player by the name of Yandy Diaz.
Yandy Diaz has been hitting the ball well so far this season. Over the course of 21 games he has hit 6 homers and has a .977 OPS. This type of production in the lineup has put the Rays up in a lot of games. With how well Tampa pitch the lineup just needs to produce a little. Diaz has been more than a little so far this year and makes this Rays club that much more dangerous.
Ryne Stanek is on the mound for the Rays as they look to get another win. Stanek has been nothing short of stellar so far this season. In his opener role he has started 5 games. Overall he has pitched 12 innings to an ERA of 1.59. Stanek will not go 9 innings or even 6, but the Rays bullpen is more than capable of handling this Royals lineup.

FanDuel Pick Kansas City Royals vs Tampa Bay Rays
Tampa Bay is one of the better teams in the league right now. The Rays put up runs and also pitch well enough to keep the opponents score low. Expect to see the Rays to win straight up tonight. Also they can put up some serious runs, they feature a large run differential. Expect them to cover -1.5 tonight.
