This game will be the final one of the series, and the last time these two teams will see each other this season. The Braves have been dominant thus far, outscoring the Marlins 10-1 through the first two games. Miami has actually gotten more hits than Atlanta in both of the previous games, leading them 15-10 in that category. They've also only hit one home run though, the lone run they've scored, while the Braves have hit four. With that said, it's clear what the Marlins need to do to win. Don't strand runners. Leaving 21 out of 22 men on base is absolutely abysmal, and that's exactly what they've managed to do in this series. Obviously, a portion of that can be contributed to the Braves clutch pitching, but that only accounts for so much.

Sandy Alcantara, somehow an All Star this season, will be starting for Miami tonight. With a record of 4-11, and an ERA of 4.35, there's not a ton to love. Across the board he's putting up pedestrian numbers, nothing really stands out. What's does stand out though, and it's not a good thing, is him leading the league in walks. However, he does have fantastic career numbers against the Braves lineup, posting a 1.57 FIP over 39 batters faced. Such a low number can be contributed to a .237 allowed batting average, and just one walk issued. Where you can give Alcantara some more credit, is his high fastball velocity, which has resulted in a pretty low exit velocity among hitters.
