Despite finishing the first half of the season on a 5-3 run, the White Sox couldn’t turn things around in the second half starting with a seven-games losing streak and going on another seven-games losing streak at the end of August. Since the All Star Break the White Sox are 23-42 with a total of 278 runs scored. 2019 All Star Jose Abreu leads the team with 167 hits, 119 RBI and 33 home runs, while Leuri Garcia, Yoan Moncada and Tim Anderson have combined for 454 hits, 165 RBI and 47 home runs. Dylan Covey will be on the mound tonight. Covey has struggled this season so far with a 1-8 record topped by a 7.98 ERA and 41 strikeouts, and he has a terrible 0-4 career record against Minnesota with a 7.30 ERA and 12 strikeouts. The White Sox need him to have a career night ul if they want to finish the series with a win tonight.

This year the Twins look like one of the strongest teams in the MLB. Minnesota dominated in the first half of the season going on multiple winning streaks and continued being hot even after the All Star Break and kept a good 18-10 record in the last month. Since the start of the second half of the season, the Minnesota Twins are 37-25 with a total of 357 runs scored. 2019 All Star Jorge Polanco leads the team with 179 hits, 78 RBI and 22 home runs, while Max Kepler and Eddie Rosario have combined for 277 hits, 190 RBI and 67 home runs.
