The New York Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles for the third of their four game series on Tuesday night.

The New York Yankees walked away from Monday’s double header with two victories, scoring eight runs on eight hits in the opener and scoring eleven runs on twelve hits in the second game. The Yankees kicked off the day with a lot of early momentum with two runs by shortstop, Didi Gregorius and designated hitter, Gleyber Torres to put up four runs in the first inning. Third baseman, Gio Urshela and outfielder, Cameron Maybin also hit home runs to help add to their offensive successes. Torres continued his outstanding play in game two putting up six RBIs to help lead the team in a slug match to end the night. The Yankees now look to take the first three games of the series as they come into Tuesday night’s game.

The Yankees send RHP Domingo German to the mound for Tuesday night’s game. Entering the contest, German has a 15-2 record and a 4.05 ERA. German has been considered a saving grace for the Yankee’s due to his consistency on the mound. In his last outing, German went against the Toronto Blue Jays where he lasted five innings and surrendered three runs, he walked away with the win in the outing. Now German will look to get his 16th win and the Yankees their 80th as he takes the mound on Tuesday night.

The Baltimore Orioles walked away from Monday’s double header hitting the 80 loss mark on the season, the second team in the league to do so. In game one, the club combine for five runs on seven hits. Leading the way of the batters was right fielder, Anthony Santander, who went 3/4 on the night with one of the hits being a home run. In game two, the club stepped it up to eight runs on nine hits. The star of the night was second baseman, Hanser Alberto, who went 3/4 with three RBIs plus a home run. The Orioles offensively didn’t do too bad but will look to improve and win on Tuesday night as they’re back in New York.

Taking the mound for the Orioles on Monday will be LHP John Means. Entering the game Means has a record of 8-7 and an ERA of 3.36. The left hander has been one of few bright spots to the season for a struggling Orioles team. The 26 year old did struggle in hist last outing though, pitching only 3.2 innings against the Yankees and allowed four runs. Means was returning from injury though, and will look to bounce back in a big way for Tuesday’s game against the high powered Yankees.
