These two teams will meet again tonight, in what's been a tightly contested series thus far. The Pirates took game one, but their comeback bid last night was stopped just short, as they lost 5-4 to the Giants. An interesting factoid about this matchup, is that the Pirates are 57-50 ATS as underdogs this season, while the Giants are 10-19 ATS as favorites.
Pirates
Dario Agrazal, who is the starting pitcher for the Pirates tonight, has gotten progressively worse in his rookie year. He made his debut back in June, where he put up a 2.70 ERA for the month. Then in July, a 4.00 ERA, followed up by a 6.35 ERA in August. In his only September performance, against the Miami Marlins, he posted a 10.38 ERA. He has good stuff, and will likely be a good pitcher for Pittsburgh at some point, but that time isn't now.
