The Seattle Mariners finally broke a three-game losing streak to Tampa Bay on Monday night. This game will have relievers opening the game for both teams with Diego Castillo starting for Tampa meanwhile Tommy Milone is projected to open for Seattle. Seattle will reportedly also call up Jake Fraley from double-A after injuries have left them short of outfielders. Tampa Bay leads this season series with three wins to Seattle’s one victory.
Seattle hopes to continue hot streak
Seattle is 4-1 SU in their last 5 games and has also extended their win streak to three. The Mariners are also 5-2 in the middle of a nine-game road trip which ends on Wednesday night. Tommy Milone has struggled in his three appearances in August going 1-2 with a 6.23 ERA. Milone has allowed an opponents batting average of .267 against him as a starter this season. He also has allowed six home runs and 16 runs scored in 101 plate appearances. Tom Murphy has led Seattle’s offense during the current Mariners road trip he is 7-11 with five home runs and 11 RBIs.
