World Series Game 6 (Houston leads 3-2)
Line: Washington Nationals +155 Houston Astros -175
Run Line: Houston Astros -1.5 Total: 7.5
The Nationals are now on the brink of elimination as they have lost three straight home games and were outscored 19-3 in their three losses. Houston will turn to Justin Verlander as he looks to clinch the World Series for Houston although he has lost his last two starts surrendering four runs in each of those starts. Washington will have their ace in Stephen Strasburg on the mound who has won his last two starts and won game 2 for the Nationals. Game 2 of this World Series with these pitchers on the mound with Washington winning 12-3. The Nationals will need to improve their hitting with runners in scoring position as they are 1-21 in their past three games.
Washington leans on road success to extend series
Washington is 6-0 SU in their last 6 games on the road. Strasburg has been great this year going 22-6 with a 3.15 ERA in the regular and postseason this year. Strasburg is 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA in the postseason. In the regular season, Strasburg is 8-4 with a 3.39 ERA away from home. The Nationals still appear unsure if Max Scherzer will be available in this must-win game as he deals with neck spasms that saw him scratched from game 5. Washington also is not ruling out Kurt Suzuki returning behind the plate. He has been dealing with a hip flexor and Yan Gomes has yet to catch Strasburg this postseason but would get the start in his place.
