Free MLB Postseason Prediction Los Angeles Dodgers vs Boston Red Sox

Game 2 of the World Series, the Los Angles Dodgers face the Red Sox in Boston once again after falling in game 1 on Tuesday night. Will the Red Sox take a 2-0 lead?

Los Angeles Dodgers:

The Dodgers fell apart late in game one falling to the Red Sox 8-4. The Dodgers were unable to slow down the vast and talented Boston lineup. They will face that same lineup in game two and will have to find a way slow them down. The Dodgers send Hyun-Jin Ryu to the mound and his last game was in the NLCS, where he pitched three innings, allowing seven hits. He will have to be on top of his game against Boston’s long list of hitters. Clayton Kershaw struggled in game one and like Kershaw, this is Ryu’s first appearance at Fenway Park and has struggled to pitch on the road all season. Manny Machado drove in three runs in game one, is very familiar with Fenway as he played many games there in his time with the Baltimore Orioles, and is 12 for 41 with five home runs against Red Sox’s starter David Price, will have to lead the Dodgers if they want to avoid the 0-2 hole.

Boston Red Sox:

Boston took care of business in game one. Taking it 8-4, behind a solid batting lineup. Andrew Benintendi had four hits, scored three and drove in another. Eduardo Nunez finished it off with a pinch-hit three-run homer, to help the Red Sox continue to win streak stretching it to four straight wins, and an 8-2 postseason record. David Price takes the mound, who had been 0-9 in 11 postseason starts until the ALCS when he threw six shutout innings to lead the Red Sox over Houston in game 5. J.D. Martinez avoided injury himself badly, rolling his ankle in game one, but will continue to play on it. Boston’s strong batting and solid pitching could help put them up 2-0 heading to Los Angeles for games three and four.

Boston Red Sox vs Los Angeles Dodgers Free MLB Pick

Both teams, have solid batters and pitching for the most part, but the Boston Red Sox completely took over in game one on their way to a dominating 8-4 win. It could be more of the same in game two, as the Red Sox send David Price, who is still looking for that elusive first ring. I like the Red Sox to take a 2-0 lead into games three and four in Los Angeles.

Pick: Red Sox -1.5

#RedSox Notebook: Dombrowski, Cora insist bullpen will be fine despite losses:

#RedSox manager Alex Cora reconsidering trip to White House due to concerns about Puerto Rico:

#RedSox manager Alex Cora said as of today, he would go to the White House. But that could change tomorrow.

This appears to be among the several issues he's concerned about:

Dave Dombrowski's deal with the #RedSox is through 2020, not 2019, I've been told. So work on an extension is not a priority for either side right now.

New from @BGlobeSports: The #RedSox are scheduled to visit the White House on Feb. 15:
