Free MLB Pick Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The World Series heads to Los Angeles as the Dodgers will look for a way to get back in the series, coming into game three in a two-game hole, after the Red Sox took care of business in games one and two in Boston. Will the Dodgers find a way to even the series in game three and four being played in LA?

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox, are riding the momentum as the series heads out west. An 8-4 win in game one and a 4-2 win in game two has Boston up 2 games to zero, heading to LA, where Dodgers are always a tough out. Boston did exactly what it needed to do at home in Fenway if they want to win the championship they have to find a way to get a win in LA. The Red Sox send Rick Porcello to the mound for game three, he last played in the ALCS against Houston where he went four innings, allowing seven hits, four runs and had three strikeouts. Boston has been outstanding on the road, winning the ALDS at New York, before clinching the American League Championship on the road in Houston. Mookie Betts could be moved to second back to get designated-hitter J.D. Martinez out in the outfield as far as any changes for the Red Sox lineup for game three. In Porcello’s two starts this postseason the Red Sox are 2-0, that could be a major moment of impactfulness for the Boston.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers are in a hole. A 0-2 hole for that matter, they were outperformed in the first two games of the world series. Kershaw couldn’t get it done in game one, and Ryu couldn’t outlast David Price in game two. The Dodgers turn to a rookie pitcher Walker Buehler for game three. The series is in Los Angeles now, which favors the Dodgers, as they have performed well at home in the postseason. Buehler’s last game was against the Brewers in the NLCS, where he went 4.2 innings, allowing six hits, only allowed one run and struck out seven. With Porcello, a right-handed pitcher starting that forces a change for the Dodgers batting line-up, which most likely puts Max Muncy, Joc Pederson, and Cody Bellinger into the starting line-up.

Boston looked unstoppable in games one and two, and have all the momentum to take care of business in three and four to sweep the Dodgers, but I’m still under the impression that the Dodgers will win at least one game in the series. I think the Dodgers get that win tonight in game three. It’s going to be a closely fought game, but I like LA at home.

Pick: Dodgers -1.5

#RedSox manager Alex Cora reconsidering trip to White House due to concerns about Puerto Rico: https://t.co/P384rOLJI6

#RedSox manager Alex Cora said as of today, he would go to the White House. But that could change tomorrow.

This appears to be among the several issues he's concerned about: https://t.co/oMfQWqcW6K

Dave Dombrowski's deal with the #RedSox is through 2020, not 2019, I've been told. So work on an extension is not a priority for either side right now.

New from @BGlobeSports: The #RedSox are scheduled to visit the White House on Feb. 15:
