The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics face off in Game 2 of the East Finals as the road to the NBA Finals continue.
Cleveland hopes to get themselves in a better position after their being blown away by Boston in Game 1. Kevin Love was able to bring in only 17 points and eight rebounds. LeBron James, who usually leads the team every game in scoring, followed up with 15 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Finally, benched player Rodney Hood brought in 11 points and made two assists. The Cavs showed little resilience in this opener unlike their run against Toronto, the team they swept to get to this point. James is usually the one leading the charge, but he had five of 16 from the floor and seven of the team’s 10 turnovers from the game. The team missed their first 14 three-pointers and finished four of 26 behind the arc.
The Celtics are ready to prove that they deserve to go back to the Finals. They made look easy against the Cavs when they defeated them 83-108 in Game 1. Jaylen Brown led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds. Marcus Morris delivered a career double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Meanwhile, Al Horford picked up 20 points, four rebounds and six assists. Boston has an undefeated home playoff record. However, times have changed and some of their most impacted players like Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving and rookie Daniel Theis aren’t there anymore. They have been banked by critics all season, but the motivation to prove them wrong has them playing more than ever.
CTS365 Free NBA Cavaliers vs. Celtics Money Line Prediction
There is a lot both teams have to prove if they plan to get to the end. It’s hard to tell which one deserves it more since both teams have Finals experience. However, when you think of the comparisons of both teams, Cleveland looks like the ones with the veteran players and experience to get there. Boston has a lot of new generations just coming in, but their run to this point has been impressive. Players like Brown, Morris and Holford have been just some of the players who have brought back the spirit of the Celtics. The fact that this game is in their home territory and that they have an undefeated record to maintain are two of the reasons that this game should end with their victory in what is anticipated to be another tough showdown.
