Brooklyn is off to an optimistic 10-10 start this year and with leading scorer, Kyrie Irving missing their last 5 games, there's optimism bubbling in Brooklyn that maybe this team can be better. The Nets have won five of their last seven but are coming off a close 109-106 loss to Miami. Spencer Dinwiddie continued his blistering form since taking over from the injured Irving, scoring 29 points. Joe Harris added 25 points while DeAndre Jordan chipped in with 15 points and eight boards but it wasn't enough to knockoff the Heat who got 24 and 20 points respectively from Goran Dragic and Jimmy Butler. Bam Adebayo added 17 points and 16 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie is scoring 20.7 points per game and dishing out 5.9 assists per game but has been averaging 25 points and 7.3 assists per game since he became a starter. Caris LeVert is third on the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game. Joe Harris continues to be on the best 3-point shooters in the NBA, scoring 14.6 points per game and shooting 44.2 percent from 3. Taurean Prince is adding 13.0 points.

The Hawks broke a 10-game losing streak when they defeated Golden State 104-79 on Monday. They might have played some horrible basketball this season but the Hawks played their best defense of the season in the convincing victory. It was the largest margin of victory for Atlanta this season. Trae Young led Atlanta with 24 points and game-high seven assists, De'Andre Hunter scored 18 points, while Damian Jones added a career-high 16 points with team-high eight rebounds. This young Hawks team has a long way to go but have Trae Young, who is scoring 28.2 points per game on 45.7 percent shooting from the floor and 38.5 percent from 3. He is also averaging a team-high 8.3 assists per game. Jabari Parker is scoring 16.3 points per game and adding 6.5 rebounds per contest. Rookie forward De’Andre Hunter is contributing 12.2 points per game and 4.1 rebounds.
