Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are on a three-game losing streak, losing to teams such as the Washington Wizards, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Orlando Magic.

Their last win was last Tuesday over the New York Knicks, and since then, luck hasn’t gone in their favor. As a team with a record of 16-34 (making them 12th in the East) on a losing streak, the Hornets should look to turn things around. But, they head to Houston to face the 31-18 Rockets.

On Monday, the Hornets hosted the Orlando Magic in a game Charlotte lost by 12 points. The Hornets had six players in double figures, including four of their five starters, as well as two bench players. Terry Rozier led the team with 18 points, and Cody Zeller had 17 points and seven rebounds. Miles Bridges and Devonte’ Graham were the other two scores in double figures with 16 and 15 points respectively. Despite solid play from the Hornets, the Magic came into Spectrum Center and got the win. Now, in the second game of a back-to-back, the Hornets have the Rockets.

Houston Rockets

The Rockets are fighting to remain in the top five of the West, as well as catch up to some of the other top teams of the West. The Dallas Mavericks aren’t too far behind from them, and on the other hand, the Rockets are a win away from tying the Utah Jazz. Houston is on a two-game winning streak, as they’ve beaten the Mavericks and Pelicans. In their third straight home game, the Rockets host the Hornets.

In their win over the Pelicans, James Harden led the team with 40 points. Russell Westbrook also had a solid game with 22 points. Westbrook will be out for tonight’s game, but if Harden has another big game, the Rockets could do just enough to get the win.
