Defending back to back champions Golden State Warriors will be hosting the Los Angeles Clippers in the game 2 of best of seven series of the western conference first round tonight.
Golden State Warriors
Golden State Warriors is coming off a comfortable win in the game 1 on Saturday when all the other home teams fell short to their opponents in Game 1. Steph Curry led the team with 38 Points, 15 Rebounds and 7 Assists in 37 mins on a 68% from the field. Curry is still an unsolved mystery for the Clippers averaging 30 pts and 5 threes against them since Steve Kerr has taken the charge of the Warriors. The defending champs had it going early in the game 1 with Draymond Green knocking down 2 open look threes and scoring 11 points in the first quarter. GSW had the game in all time long even after a bad shooting night for Clay Thompson and KD’s ejection.
Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles Clippers was led by Montrezz Harrell scoring 26 points and Lou Williams with 25 points and 9 assists in the game. The duo had a good game overall and even brought the Clippers to lead for a short duration but the Clippers defense seemed to have no answer to Warriors offense. Also, the Clippers had a bad game on the boards as Ivica Zubac was benched pretty much all-night by Doc Rivers after a lousy first quarter start. They allowed the Warriors to shoot 46.7% from deep even when their star shooter in Klay Thompson shot 1-6 from behind the arch. Clippers must be looking to improve their defense and try to slow down the human torch to pull off an upset in game 2.

The Clippers and Doc Rivers have a done a fine job of making it to the playoffs after trading their best player in Tobias Harris to the 76ers but it all seems to come to an end here as they simply lack the defense to even challenge the best offense in the league. Also, I expect KD to have a big game tonight, especially if the Clippers choose Beverly to guard him again after the ejections in the last game. Even if the Clippers are successful in slowing down some of the Warriors offense, I don’t expect major changes in the results as Warriors have already had their playoffs mode on coming into the post-season eyeing on the 3peat.
Pick: Golden State Warriors (-13.5)
