Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors (43-13) vs Phoenix Suns (18-39)

NBA: Monday February 12th, 2018, 10:30 PM ET | Oracle Arena

Line: Golden State Warriors -15.5

Over/Under: 232

The Phoenix Suns have not fared well in recent games, having lost five in a row. The Suns have all but been eliminated from the playoffs having only won 18 games this season. They are in 13th place in the Western Conference and 12 games behind the eighth seed. Despite their struggles Devin Booker continues to be a star in Phoenix and is averaging 24.1 points per game. However, Booker recently injured his hip and therefore is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. If Booker is unable to play, expect Elfrid Payton, who was recently acquired to take his starting position at point guard. The Suns have struggled mightily on defense and are dead last in points allowed per game with an average of 112.6. Going up against the highest scoring team in basketball will be their task tonight, but unless they have an answer on the defensive end this game will likely be a blowout.

The Golden State Warriors hold the best record in the NBA and are also currently the number one seed in the Western Conference. They are only half a game in front of the Houston Rockets and will be looking to hold onto their lead. This season is the second that Kevin Durant is on the Warriors and they currently have three players averaging more than 20 points per game. Stephen Curry leads the team with 26.9 points per game. Kevin Durant averages  25.7 points per game and Klay Thompson averages 20.1 points per game. With these three players on the same team, it is a nightmare for opponents to defend. Tonight should be no different and the Warriors are expected to run away this game. For the Warriors they do have trouble at times defending and allow 107.9 points per game, which ranks 22nd in the league.
