Houston Rockets vs. Indiana Pacers

Indiana Pacers (6-7) vs Houston Rockets (10-3)

NBA: Sunday November 12th, 2017, 6:00 PM ET | Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana

Line: Houston Rockets -3

Over/Under: 222.5

The Indiana Pacers ended a four game losing streak when they defeated the Bulls in Chicago in their last outing. They played very well defensively and only allowed 87 points. The Pacers had two players surpass 20 points in this game, one being shooting guard, Victor Oladipo with 25 points on 11 of 20 shooting. The other was small forward, Bojan Bogdanovic who scored 22 points on 8 of 12 shooting. Indiana held Chicago to 39.8% shooting and 25.9% from three point range which was another key to their dominating victory. The Pacers now return home to face the Houston Rockets this evening, who are known to score a ton of points. They will need to amp up their defense once again in this game because the Rockets will likely take advantage otherwise. Of course the player the Pacers will need to watch out for is James Harden. With Chris Paul still injured Harden has taken the point guard role and has always been a threat to have a huge game.

The Houston Rockets extended their winning streak to five games when they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in their last game. James Harden was by far the leading scorer in this game where he scored 38 points on 11 of 25 shooting which included 6 of 14 from three point range. Harden also added 8 assists that helped push the Rockets over the Grizzlies in their third attempt this season. This evening the Rockets will need to continue their offensive production to ensure they increase their win streak to six games. This game will likely be high scoring as the Pacers are allowing an average of 108.4 points per game and the Rockets are allowing an average of 103.5 points per game. Also another player for the Rockets will need to step up to ensure James Harden does not have to do all the work. This will likely be Eric Gordon because he scored 26 points in their last game. Another key will be the Rockets’ bench who only scored 19 points against the Grizzlies and will need to be more productive against the Pacers.

Houston Rockets

(5-1) SU against the Eastern Conference

(3-3) ATS against the Eastern Conference

Both teams played very well in their last games, but I think Houston, who is 6-1 on the road this season will find a way to beat the Pacers in Indianapolis. Houston is red hot right now and because they are averaging 110.5 points per game I believe they will be too much for the Pacers to handle. My pick for this match up is the Houston Rockets by more than 3 points and James Harden will have another big game to lead his team to their sixth straight victory.

New #Rockets at #TXSN - Rockets starting fresh in selling a rebuilding team to Houston’s fan base

"With the news surfacing this week that John Wall was looking for a new home, attention now begins to direct itself toward Gordon as the #Rockets must figure out what to do with his future."

"Exum becomes the 21st player to join the roster for training camp, which begins later this month. This means the #Rockets will have to part ways with one player before training camp begins."

Thank you to those who helped correct this story.

Where do you think John Wall goes?
