It’s a battle between the best team in the league, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Anthony Davis led Pelicans. The Bucks have the best record in the league by 2.5 games over the Toronto Raptors and they are 7-3 in their last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Pelicans are on the outside of the playoff picture looking in and have been one of the more inconsistent teams this season. Both teams will look to find their game again and start streaking towards the end of the season.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been the team to beat for most of the season and now they are actually starting to lose. In their last five games the Bucks lost to two contending Western Conference teams, the Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs. They even lost to the Phoenix Suns, but give the Suns credit, they have won four of their last five games and are looking like they have finally figured things out. Looking at the three losses, the Bucks scoring was there, they had leads to play with, but played some bad second half defense. Two of the games, they gave up 40 plus points in the fourth quarter. Giannis Antetokounmpo is still getting his double-doubles and the Bucks shooting is fine. Milwaukee probably will have shut down defense in the fourth in this game, since Davis usually sits out the fourth quarter.
The New Orleans Pelicans last three losses were all by double digits. This team hasn’t won at home since February 23rd against the Los Angeles Lakers. It doesn’t help that Davis is on limited minutes, but the team needs to do that to see what kind of team they have without him and they don’t want him to get hurt, so the trade value can still be high. Elfrid Payton and Frank Jackson have recently played well for their team, Payton is coming off a triple double of 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 15 points, Jackson has gone for 20 plus in the last two games. This team has shown they have some talent, but they need that bench depth to get going against the Bucks. The Pelicans are also coming off a game against the Hawks where they made 18 threes. That type of effort can make things interesting.

NBA Scores Milwaukee Bucks vs New Orleans Pelicans
So, who will win the second game between these two teams? The Bucks won on December 19th, 123-115. The Pelicans have looked a little different since then, and now they mostly have just young guys playing around a minute-restricted Davis. The Bucks Antetokounmpo went for 25 points in that game and almost had a triple-double. This time around, look for the Pelicans Frank Jackson to lead the way for New Orleans and Antetokounmpo and the other Bucks stars will look to have a field day in this one. Bucks wins 120-104.
