Free NBA Prediction Minnesota Timberwolves vs Houston Rockets

This will be the fourth and final meeting between the Timberwolves and Rockets this season. The Rockets have won all three games against the Wolves so far. The Rockets won the first game 125-105 on the road on November 16th, 139-109 in the second game at home on January 11th and 131-124 in the third game on the road on January 24th. This will be the first and only game this season these two teams will play with the Rockets small ball lineup.

This game is the beginning of a six-game road trip for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They have lost their last two games and 22 of their last 26 games overall and have gone 2-8 in their last 10 road games. They have, however, won two of their last three games on the road. Karl Anthony-Towns, who has not played in a game since February 12th, is expected to miss another two weeks for the Wolves. D’Angelo Russell has averaged 21.1 points, 6.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in his 11 games since being traded to Minnesota. Malik Beasley has been averaging 21.9 points (a 14 point increase on his season average with the Denver Nuggets) and 5.2 rebounds in his 13 games since being traded to Minnesota.

The Houston Rockets have lost their last four games. They have been shooting 29% from the three-point range in their past four games. James Harden has struggled shooting from the field in the past four games shooting 32% from the field and 19% from three-point range. He has also struggled taking care of the ball averaging over five turnovers in the past four games including a 10 turnover game against the Charlotte Hornets. Russell Westbrook has averaged 30.2 points on 51% shooting from the field and 9.8 rebounds in the past five games. Westbrook is shooting a career-high 47% from the field this season.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota are 4-16 SU in their last 20 games.

Minnesota are 3-14 SU in their last 17 games against Houston.

Minnesota are 0-16 SU in their last 16 games when playing on the road against Houston.

Houston Rockets

Houston are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games.

Houston are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games at home.

Houston are 16-0 SU in their last 16 games when playing at home against Minnesota.

The Houston Rockets have won 18 of their last 20 games against the Timberwolves need I say more? I have the Rockets ending their cold spell with a win tonight against Minnesota. It will take more than D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley having good offensive performances to beat the Rockets and that will be their downfall. Too much depth for the Wolves to handle and the Rockets get the win.
