Free NBA Minnesota Timberwolves vs Chicago Bulls

The Minnesota Timberwolves couldn’t pull off the win against the Denver Nuggets on Monday, losing 107-100. Karl-Anthony Towns was pretty much the only bright spot for the team, earning 28 points on the night. Only three players on the team finished the game with a positive +/- rating, causing the team to finish the game with a -7 +/- rating.

The Chicago Bulls expectedly lost to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, losing 111-98. There is only one thing that is somewhat positive for the Bulls is their 11 team steals on the day. Granted it’s expected that the Bulls would do poorly against the best team in the NBA. The team ended up finishing with a +/- grade of -13.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are better than their record

To put it simply, the Timberwolves are better than teams with a similar record. The Minnesota Timberwolves are 7th in field goal percentage, 6th in rebounds per game, 4th in steals per game, and 4th in blocks per game. Furthermore, when you compare the Timberwolves to the Bulls, they are better in nearly every major category. If the Timberwolves were in the Eastern Conference, they would be in the playoff race right now.

The Chicago Bulls are terrible

I can’t emphasize enough exactly how terrible the Chicago Bulls are. The Bulls rank no higher than 19th in every major category apart from one. They lead the league in steal per game. Despite this, they are somehow ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference. Either the Bulls are incredibly lucky, the teams in the Eastern Conference are just that bad, or both. My money is on both.

Again, I can’t emphasize this enough, the Bulls are atrocious. While the Timberwolves may have the same record, they’re better than the Bulls. KAT is going to have a field day while the Bulls get blown out today.
