In a Wednesday night NBA matchup, the Oklahoma City Thunder head East to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Oklahoma City Thunder look to extend their four game winning streak. Although the Thunder will be without Russell Westbrook tonight who is out with an ankle sprain. The Thunder are red hot right now, covering the spread in their last four games. Despite their slow start to the season, Oklahoma City is starting to bring it together and become a force in the West. They are shooting 45% from the field and averaging 113 points a game. Paul George is looking good so far with 22 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. Even without Westbrook, the Thunder are starting to prove they are a well-rounded team.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are attempting to make any sort of move at home tonight. After firing Tyronn Lue after starting 0-6 (what do you expect after Lebron left). Interim coach Larry Drew has the team looking up, kind of. Although the Cavs won their first contest under Drew, the Cavs followed it up by getting decimated by the Nuggets 110-91. Kevin Love, the team’s leading scorer is out indefinitely with a foot injury. Jordan Clarkson is the second leading scorer but trying his best to be like Kobe, averaging only 0.9 assists a game. Maybe share the ball a little bit and let other people score points, Kyle Korver (5.1 points per game). The Cleveland Cavaliers used to be the top team in the East, the key phrase there is “used to be”. Larry Drew might be able to turn this sinking ship around.

FREE NBA PICK: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Oklahoma City Thunder
This team from Oklahoma City is Thundering right now. Four wins in a row and four wins against the spread in the last 5 games. This team started out real rough. Real rough. They’ve still got some things to get figured out, such as how to keep Russell Westbrook healthy, but they’re on the right track. If Paul George can continue to perform and maybe hit some clutch shots they can hang on.
The Cavs are a dumpster fire. Abandon ship, burn the ship, swim away. The Cavs are dead. Kevin Love should be great but he’s broken, for the who knows how many-th time in his career. Lebron stole whatever mojo Cleveland had. Who knows where he took the mojo because it sure isn’t in LA. Is Larry Drew the answer? Probably not, the only drew that could save Cleveland is Uncle Drew. And Lebron traded him to Boston. When your starters are the kids that your former superstar brought in to compete with the Warriors you’re in a bad spot.
Give me OKC with the points. No shot they lose this one.
