Orlando Magic vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Orlando Magic (20-46) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (35-29)

NBA: Saturday March10, 2018, 10:30 PM EST. Staples Center, CA

Line: Los Angeles Clippers -11.5 Over/Under: 217

The Orlando Magic are only two and eight in their last ten including five losses to non-playoff teams. Leading scorer Aaron Gordon (18.3) is listed as out for tonight’s game which will make this game significantly tougher for the Magic. To make matters worse, Orlando will also be without their second leading scorer Evan Fournier (17.8 points/game) and athletic guard Terrence Ross. Forward Jonathon Simmons has been given more responsibility with the absence of Gordon; last night against the Sacramento Kings Simmons put up 25 points on 9-of-15 from the field. If Orlando wants a chance, center Nikola Vucevic needs to have a big game. Vucevic is averaging 17.3 points/game and leads the team with 9.1 rebounds/game. Last night Vucevic put up only 13 points and gathered 5 rebounds, there will need to be a better effort from him tonight in Los Angeles if Orlando hopes to win.

The Los Angeles Clippers on the playoff bubble, currently in the eighth spot in the Western conference. The Clippers have won seven of their last ten, two of those losses came to the first and second place teams in the Western conference, the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors. Los Angeles is led in scoring by Guard Lou Williams (23 points/game) and forward Tobias Harris (19.9 points/game). Center DeAndre Jordan only averages 11.9 points/game, however he is coming off a game in which he scored 20 points and was able to secure another 23 rebounds, Jordan’s second consecutive 20 rebound game. Guard Austin Rivers also tends to get his shots as well, averaging 15.6 points/game. Forward Danilo Gallinari will not be on the court tonight in Los Angeles.
