Despite a three-game losing streak, the Raptors remain top three in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors are 42-18 with a half-game lead over the Boston Celtics. The Raptors are losing, but so are the Bucks and Celtics (who are first and third in the Eastern Conference respectively). The Bucks lost to the Miami Heat yesterday and the Celtics loss to the Houston Rockets in overtime on Saturday. The Raptors are on a losing streak but have a chance to snap their streak with a five-game West Coast trip. The trip continues with a visit to Talking Stick Resort Arena, where they’ll face the Phoenix Suns.
The Raptors started off the month of March with a blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets beat the Raptors 133-118. OG Anunoby led Toronto with 32 points, while Norman Powell finished with 24 points. Four out of five Raptors starters scored in double figures, as Kyle Lowry had 17, and former Most Improved Player Pascal Siakam had 16. The Nuggets had balanced scoring, as they had eight players in double figures. A triple-double from Nikola Jokic (23 points, 18 rebounds and 11 assists) and contributions from players such as Jamal Murray and Gary Harris, helped the Nuggets score the blowout win.
The Raptors are 0-1 in their road trip, but their luck may turn around. Tonight, they have a team that they beat earlier in this season in the Phoenix Suns.
The Phoenix Suns are on a losing streak of their own, as they’ve lost their last three games as well. They’ve lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Detroit Pistons and most recently, the Golden State Warriors.
The Suns started off the season on a good note, but since then, they have sunk towards the bottom of the conference. The Warriors are a 13-48 team , and the Suns lost to them by 16 points.
For the Suns, the past few months have been rough. However, one bright spot of their season is their first-time All-Star in Devin Booker.
This season, Booker averages 26 points, 6.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds. He also shoots 48.8 percent from the field and nearly 36 percent from deep.
Booker finished their loss against the Warriors with 21 points. The Suns also received contributions from their big man Deandre Ayton, who had 20 points and nine rebounds.
The Suns are home for their next three games and host the Raptors, the Blazers, and the Bucks. Their schedule will be difficult, but they can potentially get a win during their time at home. And it could happen tonight.

Both the Raptors and Suns are on a losing streak and desperately want to end them. The Raptors are on a road trip, and with their huge loss to the Nuggets, they’ll look to get a win over an under .500 team like the Suns. With that being said, the Raptors should win.
