It all comes down to this. The Golden State Warriors are heading back to the Western Conference Finals for the fifth consecutive year.  They reached to the third round of the NBA playoffs Friday night defeating Houston Rockets 118-113 in Game 6.

This year’s Western Conference finals which will be a battle between the Curry brothers. Stephen Curry and the defending  champs will face Seth Curry and the Trail Blazers after Portland  stunned No.2 seeded Denver Nuggets in game 7 on Sunday.

The Warriors and the Blazers split their four-game series in the regular season, and their best-of-seven Western Conference finals will begin on Tuesday  night in Oakland. 

Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard was struggling in Game 7 but The Portland Trail Blazers was going to the Western Conference Finals anyways thanks to CJ McCollum had his back.

McCollum scored 37 points and added a crucial chase-down   block in the closing minutes that helped the Blazers beat  the Denver Nuggets 100-96 in Game 7 on Sunday to advance to their first conference finals since 2000.

Lillard scored 13 points while shooting 3 of 17 shots from field, but the two guards were critical when they knock down critical 3-pointers in the fourth quarter that put Portland ahead 81-76 and 92-85.

None was bigger than when McCollum chase-down block with 4:44 left and The Trail Blazers leading 87-83. McCollum raced to stop a breakaway layup by Jamal Murray, who had a miserable shooting day, missing 14 shots of 18.

The Nuggets were down 96-95 coming out of a timeout when McCollum hit a pull-up jumper over Torrey Craig with 12.4 seconds left

Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry struggled in the first half of his career by being scoreless. In the second half, he scored 33 points to help Golden State Warriors eliminate Houston Rockets in Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference Finals on Friday night.

Curry huge second half allowed the Warriors to overcome to the absence of Kevin Durant and get 118-113 win. Klay Thompson added 27 points to help the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors reach the conference finals for a franchise-record fifth straight year and eliminate Houston for the fourth time in five seasons. The Warriors did it without Durant sidelined with a calf injury in the second half of their Game 5 victory.

The Warriors will be without Kevin Durant for at least the first two games of the series a calf injury. DeMarcus Cousins could returned from a torn quad in this series if he continues to progress in his rehab.

Still, The Warriors have the greatest backcourt duo Stephen Curry and CJ McCollum, who single-handily shot the team out of the second round Friday.

The warriors will have their hands-full with Portland’s backcourt between Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, who helped the Trail Blazers overcome 1 17-point deficit Sunday to reach the conference finals. Lillard has been good against Warriors in the regular season  averaging 28.3 points and  6.5 assists in the four matchups.

Like the Warriors, the Blazers have struggled to get contributions from its second units this season. They ranked 21st in the NBA in bench points.

However, in the playoffs, Rodney Hood has been key averaging 10 points on 50 percent shooting from the field.Still, the Warriors second unit has not exist in the playoffs.
