Free NBA Prediction Sacramento Kings vs Dallas Mavericks
This will be the third of four games between the Kings and Mavericks. Both teams each have a win against each other on the road with the Kings beating the Mavs on the road 110-106 on December 8th and the Mavs beat the Kings on the road 127-123 on the road on January 15th. De’Aaron Fox and Harry Giles missed the first meeting for the Kings while Kristaps Porzingis missed the second game for the Mavs. This will be both teams’ final game going into the All-Star break.
The Sacramento Kings have played well as of late winning six of their last nine games and winning three of their last four road games. Buddy Hield has been a huge spark for the Kings since being unexpectedly benched by the team. In the past nine games, Hield is averaging 22.2 points and 5.3 rebounds on 52% shooting from the field and 51% from three. De’Aaron Fox has also played well since coming back from missing 17 games back in December. Since coming back from injury, Fox is averaging 21.3 points, 7.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds on 47% shooting. He is averaging a career high 19.8 points and shooting a career high 47.3% from the field so far this season.
The Dallas Mavericks have struggled without Luka Doncic in the lineup losing three of their last four games. The have lost their last four games against Western Conference opponents and have lost their last two home games. The good news for the Mavericks is Luka Doncic is listed as probable to make his return for tonight’s game. Despite the team’s struggles Kristaps Porzingis has elevated his level of play without Doncic in the lineup. He is averaging 28.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in his past five games. Tim Hardaway Jr. has also played well averaging 21.0 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds in his past five games.
Sacramento are 6-3 SU in their last 9 games.
Sacramento are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games against Dallas.
Sacramento are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Southwest division.
Dallas are 1-5 SU in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Western conference.
Dallas are 2-4 SU in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Pacific division.
Dallas are 1-4 in their last five home games.
I am going to go with the Dallas Mavericks to break out of their home slump in this game. Whether Doncic plays or not I think Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. have great game and find a way to lead the Mavs to victory. This would also break the trend of these two teams winning against each other on road. I am going with my gut on this one, Mavericks for the win.
