The Utah Jazz are mired in a really poor run of form right now. In their last four games, they have just one win and even that came against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies. Utah have conceded 120 or more points in 4 of their last 5 games which is quite frankly, very poor especially for a side that prides itself on it's defense and one that boasts the reigning two-time Defensive player of the year in Rudy Gobert. Their most recent encounter was against the Raptors on Sunday night which ended 130-110 in favour of Toronto. It could've been more embarrassing as the deficit was 40 points as at half time.

The Jazz scored 73 points in the second half against the Raptors but it wasn't enough as they had no answer to the impressive pair of Pascal Siakam and Fred Van Vleet who scored 35 and 22 points respectively. Mike Conley had 20 points, Jeff Green contributed 19 points off the bench and Rudy Gobert had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell leads the Jazz in scoring for the season, averaging 25.3 points per game, followed closely behind by Bojan Bogdanovic, who averages 22.1 points per game. Gobert is averaging a double-double, with 13.4 points per game and 13.9 rebounds per game.

The Philadelphia 76ers are on a roll right now. They are currently in the middle of a 3-game winning streak and seven of their last eight with the only loss coming against the imperious Raptors. They'd also be looking to remain perfect at home after nine straight wins to start the season, the last which was a hard-fought 119-116 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Joel Embiid had a double-double for Philadelphia tallying 32 points and 11 rebounds. Tobias Harris scored 22 points and Ben Simmons had 15 points, 13 assists, six rebounds and three steals in the final 13.9 seconds to lead Philadelphia to victory.

Embiid has been on a tear lately, as he has averaged 30.7 points and 14.7 rebounds in the three games since his first scoreless game of his career against the Raptors. Embiid leads the 76ers in points and rebounds for the season, averaging 22.8 points and 12.3 rebounds. Tobias Harris is second with 18.1 points per game. Ben Simmons is averaging 12.9 points alongside 8.4 assists per game and with 2.3 steals per game, is a front runner for the Defensive Player of the Year.
