Free NCAA Basketball Prediction Dayton vs. Auburn

Auburn (4-1) vs. Dayton (3-2)

Free NCAA Basketball: Wednesday November 29th, 7:00 PM @ University of Dayton Arena

Spread: Auburn -3.5, Dayton +3.5

Over/Under: 156.5

Auburn comes into this Wednesday matchup with Dayton with a record of 4-1 on the season. This Auburn team is not like most of the teams in the SEC. They didn’t have any big time freshman recruits come in. However, they have played very well this season. Auburn is averaging 93.4 points a game and only giving up 77.8 to their opponents. Bryce Brown is the Tigers’ leading scorer with 18.8 points per game. Desean Murray has done a good job rebounding and leads the team with 8.8 per game. Auburn’s only loss on the season came against Temple, this was the only game that the Tigers failed to score at least 80 points.

Dayton has been a team in the past that has made the NCAA Tournament and has had a few long runs. This year they are 3-2 on the short season. Just like Auburn, Dayton is not a school that usually gets the top recruits in the country. Dayton is averaging just 73.2 points a game, and giving up 69.8. Unlike the high powered offense of Auburn, Dayton has to fight for every point. They have not scored over 79 points this season.

I like Auburn to win this game. I just think that they are the more talented team. Even though the game is at Dayton, I believe Auburn will be able to go in and come out with a win. Dayton has had problems scoring the basketball, and their defense has not been great either. Auburn is scoring at will and should play go enough defense to get Dayton at bay. Auburn should be able to cover the spread and win this game. Take Auburn.
