Free NCAAB Temple @ George Washington Pick
The Temple Owls (4-1) will head to our nation’s capital to take on the George Washington Colonials (3-4) at the Charles E. Smith Center. Tip off is at 2:30 PM ET. This game is a part of the annual BB&T Classic tournament.
The Temple Owls have gotten off to a solid start, with wins over South Carolina, Auburn, and Clemson, all at home. Their one loss came in their lone away game, a 87-83 defeat against La Salle. They have been led by a three-headed monster in Quinton Rose, Shizz Alston Jr., and Obi Enechionyia, who have averaged 18.8, 15.6, and 15.4 PPG, respectively. They have also been efficient scorers, as they are each shooting over 48%. Enechionyia is the team leader in rebounding at 6.4 boards per game, while Alston Jr. has been shooting a lights-out 46.2% from 3-point range. As a team, they are averaging 78 PPG on 46.6% shooting.
Free NCAAB Temple vs George Washington Prediction
Though GWU has been bad this season overall, they have been pretty good at home, with a 3-1 record at the Charles E. Smith Center. Meanwhile, Temple is largely untested on the road this year, and they lost their one test anyway. Both teams are coming off of victories, with Temple beating South Carolina and George Washington beating Morgan State.
Temple has matched their actual record ATS, going 4-1. GWU has struggled, going 1-3 ATS. It would be safe to take Temple at -700, but there won’t be much winnings and obviously a huge risk. In terms of the O/U, I would bet on Temple’s strong offense to drive the score over 140. It is tough to take Temple ATS here. 11 is a significant margin to cover for a road team, no matter who they’re playing. The Owls are good, but they’re not that good. When you factor in that GWU has been solid at home, I think you should take the Colonials and the points in this afternoon’s game.
